lovey dovey penguins!

my mom (aka firebug) made these glass penguins on the torch (wow!) for our friend millie's retirement gift! it's a girl and boy penguin (OBVIOUSLY to represent millie and her husband, har har marm!), and she wanted it to be super nice, so she asked me to give it a special wire job.

i mused over the couple for a while, studying their interaction and affection for each other. it was clear that they wanted to be immortalized on sterling silver and the girl penguin asked to sit on a heart. voila! - 2 penguins in love, that want to stay close to each other :)

this is cissy in her bedroom. her mama ought to clean that mess up!!

just kidding! no call CPS!! it's cissy at our latest clutter party - enjoying the spoils. another fun pic to enjoy!

luv jamie

i am loveable and capable...

i am loveable and capable. that is a phrase that jason learned in 2nd grade and something he reminds me of quite frequently. in turn, i try to send this message out as much as possible, it's so simple and makes me happy! michelle stamped it beautifully on this pendant - i love it!

this is my BE bracelet. i thought about all the things i want to BE on a daily basis... whew, it's amazing there's time for t.v. and snacks, huh! i'm currently addicted to the re-runs of numbers.

gotta jam, there's an episode on my tivo and i want to drill a big hole in a piece of apatite. i have an idea, and if it comes out, you'll be seeing it here!

take care, breathe, and if you are having any negative thoughts for whatever reason, just think that i am sending you a drizzle of pink hearts all over your head at this very moment!
bye bye!

LOVE the lampwork!

love the jeff barber handmade glass beads! we designed and made this necklace for rene, using tiny little gemstone drops to accent the bead, and to increase her personal power :)

wonder why handmade glass beads are called "lampwork"? cause a long, long time ago, they used to be made over an oil lamp! there's more to it, so if you are interested, drop me a line! handmade glass beads aka lampwork, are how I ended up with a bead store! I was so attracted to hot glass, that I picked up lampworking as a hobby about 20 years ago, and beading was secondary (just so I could put MY beads on a string to wear it.) who'd a thought, huh!

i think i want to hop back on that torch! thankfully, marm and calvin have the entire set-up, and they teach classes so i have a place to go!

today is a special day, just like every other - sending you some love, so close your eyes, breathe and be well!

i do lomilomi!

and you can too! For the past 2 years, I've been spending my free time doing some "spiritual work", learning about meditation, healings and what my soul's purpose is! I took lomilomi classes last year with Kumu Karen and loved it!

Remember, these are beading hands, NOT massaging hands, so I was a bit fearful when I took the class - about my lack of experience and not knowing a thing about the body, except that I LOVE MASSAGE (when given to me). It was a wonderful experience and I learned so much about myself, healing, and our abilities to heal each other in the process of healing ourselves.

anyhow, I'm taking the class again this weekend, and taking Amanda too, for her christmas present, so we're gonna have fun!! Here's some info below if you feel moved to try something new, and learn even more about yourself.

if you have questions, check out kumu karen's website or call her! She's a kind, loving and attentive woman, who will gladly answer your questions, sometimes even when YOU don't know what the question is! :)

my last day on guammy - got 50 handmade tortillas to take back for marm and friends, yum!

chocolate torte got MY attention , yuammy in guammy!

ALOHA!

the nose knows!

i can sniff out a bead store, ANYWHERE!! we were driving around a little neighborhood in guam after dropping off dad at dialysis (easy on the sweets everyone, dialysis is TOUGH), and out of the corner of my eye, i saw a sign that said, the BEAD HIVE! hmmm.. "jashun, pull over!"
i found guam's only and newest bead store (3 months old), and got some omiyages for the girls and was just thrilled to find a beader in guam! next time we visit, i have a bead friend, jackie, and bead doggie friend, abby, so i'm going to learn how to make polymer clay chocolate candies!

life is great... meanwhile, i had a great idea yesterday for a new class that focuses on making projects with the intent of sending good intentions, love and healing energies for ourselves and gifts! working on it.. you'll see it coming soon! i'm pretty jazzed up about this!!!!
