i do lomilomi!

and you can too! For the past 2 years, I've been spending my free time doing some "spiritual work", learning about meditation, healings and what my soul's purpose is! I took lomilomi classes last year with Kumu Karen and loved it!

Remember, these are beading hands, NOT massaging hands, so I was a bit fearful when I took the class - about my lack of experience and not knowing a thing about the body, except that I LOVE MASSAGE (when given to me). It was a wonderful experience and I learned so much about myself, healing, and our abilities to heal each other in the process of healing ourselves.

anyhow, I'm taking the class again this weekend, and taking Amanda too, for her christmas present, so we're gonna have fun!! Here's some info below if you feel moved to try something new, and learn even more about yourself.

if you have questions, check out kumu karen's website or call her! She's a kind, loving and attentive woman, who will gladly answer your questions, sometimes even when YOU don't know what the question is! :)

January 9th and 10th 2010- Hawaiian Culture and
Lomilomi Massage Class

Hawaii calls....can you hear her calling you? Hawaii is not a destination, it is a breathing, living being. Experience the spirituality that is Hawaii. Breathe in the gentle breezes, fragrant with the coming rain, feel the carress of the ancestors as they guide you and protect you.

Listen to the Hawaiian Values, shared in the form of stories, that speak to your heart. Learn to give a relaxing Lomilomi massage, then receive one. It's heavenly!

The class is taught by Kumu Lomilomi and Master teacher, Karen Leialoha Carroll. Be embraced by unconditonal love that can transform your life.

The class will be held at Hawaii Healing Arts College in Kailua. 407 Uluniu St. 2nd floor, from 9 am-5 pm. Bring a sarong, a bottle of water for yourself, and single flat sheets for the table. Massage lotion can be purchased at the school if you don't have any. Bring quarters for parking on the lower level of the public parking structure. Downstairs is the 5 hr. parking meters. Casual dress, bring lunch or buy lunch nearby.

You can get more info from Kumu's website: www.kapuaokalani.com or call Kumu Karen at 228-3813. The class is $375, but you will receive a huge discount through The Bead Gallery. Cost for you is $200. Class size is limited, please register with Kumu asap. 228-3813.
